Genevieve Meza graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a minor in Italian from Saint Mary’s College in Indiana. While at Saint Mary’s College, she studied and lived abroad in Rome, Italy for a year. She also spent a summer living in Antigua, Guatemala where she volunteered at a nearby children’s shelter. After graduation, she studied at the Oxford House College in Barcelona, Spain where she received her TESOL certificate to teach English as a Second Language.

Genevieve began her career as an immigration paralegal when she and her husband sought legal advice for obtaining his status as a Legal Permanent Resident. She wanted to better understand the unknown immigration process that she and her husband were trying to navigate. She worked in family-based immigration for four years and then decided to expand her knowledge by switching to the employment-based immigration. She has now been working in employment-based immigration for over four years. She works on a wide range of cases from H-1Bs, PERMs, I-140s, National Interest Waivers, J-1 Waivers, Adjustment of Status, Naturalization, Consular Processing, and Family-Based Petitions. She has over eight years of experience working closely with immigration attorneys.

Her fluency in Spanish, love of other cultures, and firsthand experience of navigating the immigration process help Genevieve to serve the diverse needs of Bruner Law Group’s clientele.
